Our story  ·  قصتنا

The legacy of minerals.

Rumett was founded in Copenhagen in 2022 by Diana Saleh, to cast interior walls from mineral.

Lebanon, 2012

Where the question began.

In 2012 Diana Saleh was leading humanitarian projects in Lebanon. She saw settlements of timber and plastic lost to fire, and began asking what a wall should really be made of.

Copenhagen, 2022

An answer in mineral.

Studying building construction in Denmark, she found it in gypsum and bio-ash, cast solid, with the colour running through the body of the panel.

Rumett was founded in 2022 to treat walls as architecture rather than disposable layers. The panels have been installed, demounted and reinstalled. The first sales are done, and the work continues.
