It started with a question asked in a refugee camp in Libanon in 2012.
How do you build something that doesn’t burn?
Diana Saleh was working as a humanitarian project leader when she watched tent settlements go up in flames. Structures built from wood and plastic. No mass, no mineral, no protection. The question never left her.
Years later, studying building construction in Denmark, she found the material. Gypsum and bio-ash — two of the oldest building ingredients on earth, combined in a way no one had tried before. In 2022, Rumett was founded. Not as a sustainability project. As an answer.
The panels have been installed, tested, demounted, and reinstalled. The first sales are done. The work continues.
Our approach treats walls not as disposable layers, but as long-term architectural elements. Mechanically installed. Demountable. Designed for circular use.
Our mission is to replace disposable construction materialswith permanent, reusable mineral solutionsthat elevate architectural quality whilereducing embodied carbon.
