Rumett Mineral Panel
Reference data for the Rumett mineral panel, for architects, contractors and specifiers assessing Rumett as an interior wall panel or wall-cladding surface. Sections are numbered so they can be cited directly. For any property not listed here, ask us for the project documentation.

Product
A cast mineral wall panel for interior fit-out. The panel is solid mineral. Colour and surface variation are created during the casting process rather than printed or applied, and the surface is formed at the point of casting rather than built up on site.
Composition
Gypsum and bio-ash, cast together, with no cellulose reinforcement. The bio-ash is clean ash from wood-pellet combustion, within the limit values for heavy metals. The composition is described in the DBI classification report.
Applications
Interior wall surfaces in fit-out, fixed to a supporting framework built from standard components available on the market. The panel is a cladding panel and is not load-bearing. For anything outside interior wall cladding, send us the specifics of the project and we will confirm suitability.
Reaction to fire
The Rumett mineral panel is classified A1 for reaction to fire in accordance with EN 13501-1:2018, issued by DBI.
The classification applies to the product defined in the report. Coverage of sealed or lacquered variants remains to be confirmed.
Reaction to fire and fire resistance are different tests. This classification addresses reaction to fire only, and is not a fire resistance rating. It is a classification, not a certification or type approval.
The classification report is available on request.
Format, thickness and weight
Panel thickness is 13 mm. Panel format is set per project rather than offered as a fixed catalogue size, because panels are cast to the project; panels are cast up to 1,200 mm long. Tell us the wall and we will confirm the formats available for it.
A dry 13 mm panel weighs approximately 16 kg/m².
Surfaces
Six finishes: Lime Stone, Ash, Gypsum Sand, Desert Sand, Rosso Sand and Travertine. Bespoke colours by agreement. Panels are supplied untreated or sealed, by agreement.
Fixing and installation
Panels are fixed mechanically, with screws into a standard stud system available on the market, rather than bonded with adhesive. Screw heads are covered with material from the same casting, so the surface reads unbroken.
This is Rumett’s current practice rather than an engineered installation specification: for each project we confirm the panel format, the framework type and spacing, the screw type and position, edge distances and any loads to be hung on the wall, with the project’s engineer where one is appointed.
Disassembly and reuse
The panels are screwed rather than glued and are designed for disassembly; this has been documented. Panel material has also been reused in a new production batch, which is documented as well.

How to cite Rumett in a specification
Use the current project documentation rather than copying values from old presentations, emails or search snippets. At minimum, cite the product name, composition, nominal thickness, fixing principle, finish, project format and the specific documentation issued for the project.
For fire, cite the EN 13501-1:2018 reaction-to-fire classification within the scope of the DBI report, and request the report for the exact scope before specifying.
FAQ
Questions
Is Rumett A1?
Rumett mineral panel is classified A1 for reaction to fire in accordance with EN 13501-1:2018, issued by DBI. The classification applies to the product defined in the report. Sealed or lacquered variants remain to be confirmed. Request the DBI report for the exact scope before specifying.
Is A1 the same as fire resistance?
No. Reaction to fire and fire resistance are different tests. Rumett’s A1 classification is a reaction-to-fire classification.
How heavy is the panel?
Approximately 16 kg/m² for a dry 13 mm panel.
Who is behind Rumett?
Rumett ApS, a Danish company based in Copenhagen (CVR 43676997). Rumett develops, manufactures and supplies cast mineral panels for interior wall cladding.
What is the panel made of?
Gypsum and bio-ash, cast together, with no cellulose reinforcement. The bio-ash is clean ash from wood-pellet combustion, within the limit values for heavy metals.
What is it used for?
Interior wall cladding, fixed to a supporting framework built from standard components available on the market. Rumett does not supply a complete structural wall system unless a project contract expressly includes one.
Can the panels be taken down and reused?
Yes. The panels are screwed, not glued, and designed for disassembly; this has been documented. Panel material has also been reused in a new production batch.
How do I identify a sample?
Each sample label shows the finish name, surface treatment, thickness and a sample ID, with a link to this page. Quote the finish name and sample ID when you request a sample or a quotation.
